Setting the goals is easy, it's the follow up that makes the process difficult. The actual execution of your goals can be your killer. But, with a new decade upon us we must overcome that and leave bad habits behind. Things we've accustomed ourselves to out of pure laziness must be left in the 2010's.
Step 1, look at yourself. Take a step back and truly analyze your faults and how to combat them. I know some people don't believe in energy, but for the sake of this physical and mental revitalization I'll be using the terminology. Think about things that happened to you and the part you played in the outcome. If negative, work to change those behaviors to avoid future situations that will only negatively affect you mentally later on. In order to better yourself physically you have to be ok mentally.
Step 2, don't jump in. Pacing is key. If you get too invested in improving, you'll crash. Early. Give yourself time. Maybe planning ahead is best for you, but maybe its good to do research ahead of time and come back later. Maybe even jumping right in is best for you. But truly think about what method will guarantee your success, not which method is the easiest.
Step 3, body. Know your body and what it can handle. Plan accordingly. If you know there is a food you just won't be able to eat to sustain a goal, find a replacement/substitute that works the same magic. There are plenty out there and some things work better for certain people. I know for me watching The Home Edit and Chloe Ting on youtube inspire me to do better.
Step 4, environment. Start to slowly change your surroundings to better your chance at success. Oil diffusers, candles, blankets, Netflix, Hulu, Youtube. All good for relaxing, and finding videos from people like you on how to better your life.Outside of your personal environment, Target, Walmart, and Home Goods have great options for pantry organization and storage as well as home organization, good options for meal prep too.
